Russell Field travelled to Afghanistan to produce a number of events for Naw Roz (New Year) and build a foundation for an ongoing events team to produce cultural and commercial events in the region.
- In March 2005 produced the first kite competition to take place in Kabul for 30 years
- Produced a series of six concerts over two weeks, featuring classical and contemporary/pop Afghan music
- Responsible for creation of street banners for celebrations
