Melbourne Transformations: Laneway Commissions

Each year the City of Melbourne commissions artists to create works that will engage and entertain audiences, enliven and enrich its mysterious and intriguing laneways.

In 2004, explosivemedia was responsible for all production, technical management and maintenance for the four chosen and highly diverse works, which were launched in June and September and stayed in place for a period of 3 – 6 months.

The works were:

  • Walking on Air by Duke Albada – Cohen Place
  • Rosie’s Secret by Lisa Richardson – Duckboard Place
  • A Lane Away by Briele Hansen – Lush Lane
  • Surrogate by Charles Robb – Balcombe Place
