This Indigenous showcase program was developed under Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games’ “Respecting Indigenous Communities Strategy” to promote and highlight the business of arts and culture in Indigenous Victoria during the Games.

For the Koori Business Network, explosivemedia managed and presented a series of Showcases including:

• a business showcase at The Atrium, Federation Square;
• an arts and crafts market at the City Square;
• a visual arts showcase at seven CBD venues including BlackBox at the Arts Centre, the Melbourne Museum, the Koorie Heritage Trust, the Sofitel and Langham Hotels, Business Club M2006, and Tjanabi at Federation Square; and
• a performing arts program at three CBD venues including
  • a series of three concerts at BMW Edge, Federation Square, and
  • a series of four cabarets at the BlackBox at the Arts Centre.

explosivemedia also managed the design, content and production of a 112-page publication featuring showcase participants.
