The Beach at the Arts Centre

“The Beach at the Arts Centre” was created as a fun destination during Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. The Arts Centre’s Lawn Stage was transformed into a classic Aussie beach which hosted 40 performing acts. Requiring over 200 tonnes of sand, it featured a jetty, surf club, beach huts, waves and beach umbrellas (subject to theatrical interpretation).
- Project manager for this popular family hub during Festival Melbourne2006 with responsibility for managing design, catering, complex logistics, financial management, sourcing films, activities, host and bands, collaborating with Festival Melbourne2006 and Swinburne’s Department of Arts and liaising with all departments of the Arts Centre.
